Tony's Teens-n-Tweens Review:Operation Firebrand: Crusade (military suspense novel) Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (fantasy novel) byTony NappaThirteen-year-old Tony Nappa gives you the 411 on a thrilling military suspense novel and a fantasy book! OPERATION FIREBRAND: CRUSADE by Jefferson Scott (Barbour Publishing)
OPERATION FIREBRAND: CRUSADE The team is: Jason Kromer a former Navy S.E.A.L. and leader of the Firebrand team; Rachel Levy is the language specialist, con artist, is very beautiful, and is a former assassin for Israel’s Mossad; Garth Fisher is a former Green Beret, the team’s explosives and escape-and-evasion specialist he is also very tall, bald and strong; Lewis Griswald who is the computer geek and the youngest member of the team; Trieu Nguyen (pronounced tree oo win) she is the doctor and sniper for the team and was a biathlete in the Olympics; and Chris Page, team Firebrand’s point man, a former Marine with a model’s good looks. In this book the team goes to south Sudan to try and stop raiders from the north of Sudan from coming into the south and taking slaves from small villages there. What happens is a lot more than was planned! Will it all work out in the end? Buy this book to find out the rest. This book has lots of action and interesting situations, and also weaves in a Christian message about trusting in God. Here are three things I liked about this book. One was that it was full of adventure and suspense! I could barely put the book down because I wanted to keep up with everything that was going on! Another was that the people in this book always worked as a team and always trusted each other. One more thing I liked was how they never backed down from a job, no matter the danger. I would definitely recommend this book to teenagers and adults who like action/adventure novels. The book does have some mature themes (such as modern day slavery and violence), though, so I would suggest parents not share this book with children under 12. ### Tony Nappa is a seventh-grader who has authored three books: Lunch Box Laughs; Lunch Box Trivia; and Lunch Box Promises |
