Jason
Ingram Band Audience
Records After
spending four years building a reputation in northern California’s San
Francisco bay area, the five-member acoustic-driven modern rock band, Jason
Ingram Band is finally ready for the national spotlight. One listen to their
Audience Records debut, JiB is proof enough of that. Mixing
hard-driving acoustic guitars with selectively placed electric riffs, JiB
presents a raw rock sound that’s both similar to artists like Eli and Dave
Matthews Band, but distinctly different as well. Fronting the whole experience
is the Vince Gill-like vocals of Jason Ingram. The result is a uniquely
appealing collection of songs sure to make new fans for the boys by the bay. “What’s
It Gonna Be Like” opens the album and showcases what this band can do right
off the bat. Sporting a rowdy, radio-friendly cascade of guitars, this melody
turns eyes (literally) toward heaven in anticipation of Christ’s return.
“Because of Your Love” is a gently-rocking tune that’s also memorable
because of its deeply personal testimony about the power and example of godly
parents. “Coin,” and “Rhythm of You” are ear-pleasing cuts as well. In
all, Jason Ingram Band is a welcome addition to the world of righteous acoustic
rock. Enjoy this new band today. --Mike
