The Reminder is a great CD for the down time in your life. It’s very chill and definitely worth a listen when you're reading a magazine, checking your Facebook, or generally taking it easy.

Feist has always been one to mix great acoustic tones with soothing vocals and experimental background music to a song. This album doesn’t divert from that formula, and even adds more ear-pleasing songs to the CD. One of the songs to best illustrate this is “The Park.” It has warm acoustic, and wandering, melodies, but in the background, it sounds like this song is being played in a park! There are birds softly chirping and the sound of wind in the trees. The song “Intuition” is also one of the best songs on this CD. This one is a beautiful melody that just feels relaxing and stress-relieving.

There are only a few downsides of this album. One of them is that there isn’t much change in the song structure, and several of the songs can start to sound very much the same - meaning that you really have to be in the mood for Feist to put this CD on. One other thing I’ve noticed is that the lyrics are very vague a lot of the time, and don’t seem to make a whole lot of sense.

Still, The Reminder is definitely a CD worth buying if you’re looking for something new and refreshing, or just something very relaxing.
