LIVE...THIS IS YOUR HOUSE

Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir / M2.0 Communications

Fan Appeal: Worshipers Young and Old

Genre: Gospel Choir

There’s just nothing that can compare to a 300-voice choir singing praises to the Lord.  And, there’s no choir that can compare to the energetic and powerful Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, who has been bringing power-packed projects to us for more than 30 years.  Following their “Be Glad” project, which won their fifth Grammy Award, “Live…This Is Your House” is quite possibly even more dynamic.

This 2-CD set contains more than one hour of new and familiar music and powerful testimonies, which only enhance the message of the music.  You’ll hear 14 joyful praise songs, anointed testimonies, a live worship segment, and a message from Pastor Jim Cymbala.

The first cut, “I Made It” is an inspiring, hand-clapping cry of the heart that dares you to keep still.  “I never would have made this far without the Lord,” still echoes in my mind.  The remake of Tommy Walker’s “Lord, I Believe” (made popular by the one and only Crystal Lewis) is one that you’ll play over and over.

“Keep on Making a Way” makes you want to get up and dance with incredible brass and amazing B3 organ riffs.  The soul-stirring “Because of Who You Are” really took me by surprise with it’s amazing harmonies and intense emotion.  “We Are One” is a wonderful anthem about how the world will know we’re Christians by our love, and provides amazing jazz chord progressions and delicious brass and orchestra accompaniment that will break through the hardest of hearts. The final cut, I’ll leave to you to experience…but let me warn you, it’s powerful.

I recommend this project for those of you who are looking for a fresh worship experience.  This is one you can put on in the house and easily find yourself lost in His presence.  The spoken testimonies provide inspiring moments to really emphasize what powerful things God can do in a life, and do not distract like I originally thought they might.  If you’re already an BTC fan, this is a must have.
