Live God Loud

Acquire the Fire / Organic Records

Following up on the success of their first album, Stand Up and Surrender, Ron Luce and his Acquire the Fire (ATF) team are back with an all-new teen worship album called Live God Loud. Based on ATF youth events, this one brings more of the same: enthusiastic live crowds, pep-rally praise, rock/pop musical styles, and Luce’s challenges for sold-out Christianity.

While the musical and vocal expertise of Live God Loud isn’t of the same high caliber that teen fans expect from typical CCM artists, this CD is still an attractive option. Consisting of eight new songs and two previously recorded ones, this album starts out rowdy before progressing to a more mellow worship experience. The title song—a passionate, upbeat rock tune with hip-hop overtones—is arguably the best cut on the CD.  The gently rocking song of commitment, “Lord I Give You Me,” is also inspirational.

In all, Live God Loud is an encouraging album young people and youth group leaders should enjoy—especially if they’ve experienced an ATF event recently.
