Sanctus Real / Sparrow (EMI)
Fan Appeal: Teens and up Genre: Rock This is for sure the best Sanctus Real album yet! We Need Each Other has good music, good lyrics, and good spiritual content. The opener “Turn On The Lights,” is a song that will get you going. It’s about telling the world about God’s love. Also, the song “Eternal,” is a beautiful worship song that says “In this marriage of our hearts, there is no death do us part. You are eternal, and I am eternally yours.” It speaks of how no matter what we do, we are safe with God. “Black Coal,” is one more that’s sure to pump you up. It’s about how as Christians we need to be the “diamonds among the coal,” so to speak, and be examples of God’s love. The only complaint that I have with this CD is that while most of the songs are very good, there are a couple that just don’t measure up to the quality of the rest of the album. One of these is “Half Our Lives,” which is about how the time is passing by and we can’t let the days steal our lives away. It has a too much of a twangy guitar in it that doesn’t mesh well with the rest of the song. If you’re already a Sanctus Real fan, then you’ll love this. If not, this one will make you love them. MUSICBLOG RATING: A If members of your family like this CD, then you may want to try… -Face of Love, Fight the Tide, or Say it Loud, Sanctus Real, Rock. These energy-filled albums are chock full of great songs and fun melodies you’re sure to love. --TN ### |
